What we do

We support women with practical, one-to-one help to feel ready for work and confident in what comes next. From personal styling, interview preparation and confidence coaching to mentoring, employer introductions and the provision of interview clothing, basics and workwear, we help each woman build the skills, connections and confidence to move towards employment and independence.

Our Story

Dress for Success began in a New York church basement with a simple idea: give women the clothing and confidence to walk into a job interview feeling ready. But getting through the door is only the beginning.

Today, we provide women with practical skills, mentoring, workplace clothing and ongoing support to help them find work, build meaningful careers and create lasting economic independence. Because the right support at the right moment can change much more than one day. It can change the course of a woman’s future.

Our Impact

Globally, we’ve supported 1.6 million women. Here in Victoria, we help more than 600 women each year with the confidence, tools and support to build a brighter future - creating change that reaches well beyond a single moment.

Our Team

Our Victorian team is made up largely of passionate volunteers, bringing together lived experience, deep retail knowledge, corporate expertise and a shared commitment to helping women thrive. Led by Karina Bruce, with the active support of our Board, and an incredible volunteer network we combine practical skills, personal understanding and genuine care to create meaningful support for every woman who walks through our doors.
